360 Talent Avenue has partnered with a private Jewish elementary school located in Brooklyn, NY to hire a School Psychologist. You can be part of this team of passionate, professional faculty and staff, working to develop a Reggio-inspired school, in a supportive and creative community.
This position is a direct hire with our client.
Pay Range: $64K - 70K per year, depending upon experience
What you’ll do:
As a School Psychologist you will collaborate with teachers, faculty, parents, and outside providers to address students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Deliver social-emotional learning programs and activities in the classrooms
- Participate in case conferences with administrators and other faculty
- Conduct functional analysis of student behavior leading to intervention planning and implementation
- Score and interpret rating scales and other screening/evaluation measures
- Perform data collection and analysis at the student level to aid with class placement and learning/behavioral support decisions
- Perform data collection at the systemic level to aid with program planning and evaluation
- Lead crisis intervention at the student and school-wide level as necessary
Requirements:
- Ph.D./PsyD in School Psychology is preferred
- Current certification as school psychologist
- 5 years of experience
- Experience utilizing play therapy principles
- Experience or training in behavior planning, teacher/parent consultation, parent training, and psychological evaluations
- Knowledge of Hebrew language and Jewish holidays and customs
