Join our client’s team as a Senior Industrial Engineer and lead transformative initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in their logistics operations! This is a full-time direct hire position with our client.
Position: Senior Industrial Engineer (Warehousing and Distribution)
Location: Indiana
Pay: $100,000-$132,000; +Bonus

What you’ll do:
- Lead the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives to optimize warehousing and distribution operations.
- Conduct data analysis, time studies, and capacity planning to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement layout designs, material flow strategies, and inventory management systems to maximize space utilization and throughput.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Utilize engineering principles and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.
- Evaluate technology solutions and automation opportunities to enhance productivity and accuracy in warehousing processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and operational staff.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field/experience.
- Progressive, proven experience in industrial engineering roles within warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of Leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and distribution center operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and other software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Access, AutoCAD).
- Demonstrated success in leading process improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
