About the Role: We’re a recruiting agency partnering with a client to find a highly experienced Engineer III. This senior role is responsible for managing and implementing complex engineering projects, supporting facility operations, and potentially working as a landfill gas engineer. Ideal candidates are leaders in engineering project management, compliance, and technical reporting, with a solid background in environmental or civil engineering and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee, plan, organize, and implement large-scale engineering projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports and conduct data analysis using computer software.
- Compliance & Inspections: Perform regular inspections for contract compliance, prepare monthly reports, and manage project data.
- Permitting & Documentation: Complete permit applications and prepare necessary reports for state and federal authorities.
- Research & Coordination: Direct research projects and coordinate efforts with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Specifications & Quality Control: Develop technical specifications for engineering projects and ensure quality assurance standards are met.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term planning, policy recommendations, and contract negotiations.
Additional Duties:
- May supervise team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 10+ years in engineering, with 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license and Delaware Professional Engineer’s license.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, research techniques, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in conducting field studies, data analysis, and preparing technical reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong supervisory abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands regularly.
- Capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work Environment: This role may involve exposure to various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings, with risks associated with noise, temperature extremes, humidity, dust, fumes, and mechanical/electrical hazards.
